Big savings on energy-efficient water heating systems in Seattle
Upgrading from an older, less-efficient water heating system can lower your energy bills and improve your overall energy efficiency. To help you bring a more energy-efficient water heater into your home, PSE offers rebates on several types of quality equipment.
Current PSE electric water heating system rebates include:
Heat pump water heater rebate for electric customers
Receive either a $500 or up to $800 rebate from PSE when you upgrade to a qualifying energy-efficient heat pump water heater.
Heat pump water heater facts:
A heat pump water heater is a highly energy-efficient water heating system that draws heat from the surrounding air and transfers it to an enclosed water tank. When compared to traditional water heaters, a heat pump water heater can operate with up to twice as much energy efficiency. Some heat pump water heaters also have economy, high-demand or sleep settings.
Storage water heater rebate for electric customers
Receive a $50 rebate from PSE when you upgrade to a qualifying energy-efficient storage water heater.
Storage water heater facts
A storage water heater is a water heating system that uses a heavily insulated hot water storage tank to provide instantaneous hot water for your home. While all electric storage water heaters have a lower electric element that heats water to recover from standby losses, some have an additional upper electric element that kicks in to help meet hot water demands at times of higher usage.
